i3-2120 is good enough...plus if they made an unlocked dual core it would steer buyers away from buying the higher end chips (i5-2500k, i7-2600k) because gaming performance on a locked 2100 is relative to the higher end chips
Too bad. if the chip made it to production, that would have been amazing. though i don't think it would have taken away from the 2500k or 2600k, rather it would have taken from the budget market. you know, the ONE area that AMD still controls. mabye ivy bridge will have one?
Me to especially since the so called quadcore Bulldozer gets beaten out by a dual core I3 in most things but CPU heavy prigrams.
exactly. so if they offered a dual core i3 with the overclocking ability of an i5 (since all bulldozers are overclickable) they would murdur amd's cpu lineup.
Some weird news. Yesterday i talk with a friend he said to me he has a i3 2120k removed from a computer assembled in china but sold in Venezuela know as VIT computers... I dont have yet the chip in my hands for confirm that but in Venezuela there was some i3 2120K on sale via mercadolibre.com.ve... It will be possible?
