Whats a good response time and refresh rate for a gaming monitor?

I was thinking about gettings a 1ms 144hz monitor but i couldn't find one where i live so ill have to get something with lower specs. I want to use my rig for gaming so what would be a good refresh rate and response time for a monitor im getting for gaming?I dont want specific monitors i just want to know the specs.

60 Hz refresh rate and 5ms response time is the absolute minimum you should go.
Anything higher than 5ms and 60 MHz is great.

60 Hz refresh rate is fine but at least get one having 2ms for Gaming experience

Even if your a freak of nature you can't tell the difference between 6ms and 1. So the 5ms rule of thumb is good. Honestly thought most people have a hard time telling the difference between 60hz and 120 hz refresh rates. 144 is a nice big number but unless you find a better deal on one than a 120 hz its really not worth the additional cost.
