Like the question says, where when and how can I sell my R9 290? This summer I plan on upgrading. Not that I'm particularly bothered by the high power consumption and heat generation of my 290, but I want something more powerful. I hope to buy either the R9 390X or GTX 980 Ti - or, if I can't afford either, a GTX 980 will still be a nice upgrade for my system. To help augment this purchase, I'd like to sell my old 290. The thing is, I don't know where to sell it. I've been thinking about selling it for $150, making it a quick sell, but I wonder if I could push higher.
Before you continue reading - this is not a classified advertisement or any sort of offer to sell my card. My card is not currently for sale; I simply want some advice for people who have done this or know how to do this so that I will know what to do when I proceed to sell my card.
The model is a Club3D R9 290 "Royal Ace". It's actually quite competitive, I'm surprise you don't see more of them here in the States. Chipset clock is 1040MHz, 10MHz faster than the Vapor-X. Effective memory clock does trail a bit behind the Vapor-X at 5400MHz vs 5600MHz, but still better than reference version's 5200MHz. It does of course come with 4GB of VRAM. It's a triple-fan design with a black and red shroud, and a cool backplate with a club (as in the playing cards suite) engraved onto the back with the printed motto "Play Your Cards Right". The manufacturer's product page can be found here: http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/radeon-r9-290-royalace.html
The card's in good condition, it doesn't make any noise or anything. I have not overclocked it. I have been using it since late September 2014. I have all of the original packaging, including the electrostatic discharge bag it was packed in, but the CD that came with the card had bad, obsolete drivers. I don't think I should include it when I ship the GPU.
