whats an xdock bay in my case?

my cm storm stryker has this xdock slot and im wondering if any 2.5 inch device will fit and how will it work? like a usb?

eXternal Dock.

Hotswap bay for a 2.5" drive, accessible from outside. Useful if you have a stack of 2.5" drives that you need to swap in and out.
If you don't have a stack of them...not so much.
