What's asus policy on ebay purchases?

Hi guys,

Do you think I can claim a warranty on a gpu bought on ebay with the original invoice? Do they have any way of knowing I got from ebay? Will I still be covered if I buy something from another country in america?

And how do you actually register for a warranty?

According to my last chat with ASUS it has to be bought from a authorized re-seller to get the warranty. example, newegg,ncix,tigerdirect,microcenter,frys etc..
