The i5 4690k would be good. Can also be overclocked but make sure you team it with a z97 chipset motherboard. You don't really need to fork out for an i7 as there is hardly any difference in gaming for the price premium.

I recommend you get 8/16GB of DDR3 1600 RAM, a Z97 motherboard (asus/msi/asrock etc) and make sure you buy a good power supply as the 290X is quite hungry.

I recommend a build similar to these if your budget permits:

I think this is what your looking for. The 4690k would be more than enough for the games you play, and you can overclock it pretty nicely. You also don't need a watercooler, the 212 evo will be more than enough for your needs.

Solution
What power supply do you have?

It is easy to do as long as you do a bit of research on it first. Watch a few youtube videos, read the sticky posts on this forum. In reality it involves just changing a few values in the BIOS before you boot into Windows. You set the motherboard to a target clock speed and voltage but then you have to stress test it with some free tools on your PC to ensure it is not getting too hot or causing system crashes. If it is unstable you have to go back and adjust what you've done to find the sweet spot. It's easy to overclock with a liquid cooler though such as the h100i which I put in that PC build above.

4.5 - 5.0ghz should be doable!

I wouldn't personally spend £700 on a preoverclocked bundle as you are paying them like £250 to just change a few options on the motherboard then leaving it to run for 24 hours. That's it. Its like easy money for them!

Up to you man.
