Hello guys im wondering whats better, i need something for my new pc build.

I need CPU, Cooler, Motherboard, Graphics card, and maybe some memory preferably 16gb

Im going with a red theme so any red mobo's that you guys would recommend would be great to.

Im stuck between AMD FX 9590 4.7GHz and Intel i7 4790k

I need it for gaming and streaming and using Photoshop and rendering etc.

Ive heard that the amd cpu's run very hot and the stock coolers are bad so what water cooler would you guys recommend to, if it's amd which you think is better that is.

CPU
MoBo
Water cooler
PC case (must have an open see through side panel so i can see components. However this is not 100% necessary as i already have a CIT Neptune case but i dont know if the mob you guys suggest will fit in.

I also currently have a Radeon 7850 graphics card and was looking to buy a GTX what one would you guys recommend, I currently have a xfx 550 psu would this handle all these components?

This might seem little work for you guys but for me i really don't have a clue i just want a new decent pc so i wont need to upgrade in a while.

Whatever you guys choose could you please give me some links to the following, but try stick to a red theme.

PS Don't worry about the budget i will see what i can do so if the parts you choose are over still post it but ideally i would like to spend around £700 on these new parts.

Maybe i will get some Ram included in this price but if not still link me to some nice red sticks i'm after 16gb of ram.

Many thanks, i really appreciate your help, i always trust and use this forum.

Thanks for the reply but I'm not looking to spend that much on a graphics card atm as I need a cooler memory and a case also I'm trying yo stick to a red theme l. That graphics card you recommended is a beast though.

That was literally a 100% turn in the wrong direction. The build suggested above, I mean. It sometimes seems that people here are always thinking of gaming pc's.

For rendering and photoshop the gpu usually plays a secondary role, ram and cpu are more important. That means you want a strong cpu, therefore amd is out of the race.
The I7 4790k is 20-50% faster than the 9590 fx on stock speeds.

For your budget, the choice is either between:

I7 4790k - $250
z97 board (asrock extreme 4/gigabyte d3h/z97x-sli are totally enough) - $80
16 gb of ram - $130
new gpu (possibly 970?, goes over budget a bit)

if you will also be gaming or rendering on your gpu (which not all that many programs greatly support :/)

or for pure pcu rendering:

I7 5820k - $280
x99 board - $220
16 gb 2400mhz ddr4 ram - $200

Please note that $ should be replaced by GBP (don't have the sign on my mobile phone's keyboard). Also prices are estimates based on the cost in germany, minus 15% (€->GBP). Above listed specs may, or may not fit into the GBP 700 range. For the last one, you could possibly add a $20 cooler master 212 plus.

Thanks a lot for your reply mate, i have a question,i am more into gaming, so what one would you suggest, and how comes the i7 4790k better than the 8 core when the i7 is only 4 cores and 4.0ghz and the amd is 8 cores at 4.7ghz?

This is were i dont really understand, Thanks a lot for the reply mate, also do you have any cheaper gpu cards that you can recommend?

Thanks mate, i got a question, will my current PSU run all of these, i currently have a xfx ts 550w

Easily enough for an I7 4790k and a 980 gtx. As far as I know the 980 gtx consumes less power than the 680 gtx with which I have no problem on a 500w psu. Both overclocked.

When you're rendering, the step to an I7 is very well worth it. On same clock speeds, an I7 is about 20-25% faster.

Now, as for 9590fx and I7, things are pretty easy to explain.

The 9590fx has 8 cores (2 per module) but each only contains one 128 bit fpu. Two of those can get together to one 256 bit fpu. You could say, that the 9590fx is a 4 core with 'reverse physical hyperthreading'.
Now the fx series technology is from 2011, haswell from 2013. Both cpu's are a complete other architecture, behave very different (220w tdp on 9590 LOL) and take whole other instruction sets.
If modern programs were already able to use avx2 instructions, poor amd cpu's. Also another thing is how many instructions they can do per cycle. Haswell takes about 1.3x as many instructions as piledriver, if I recall correctly.
