What's better, Doom3, Far Cry or Pacific Assault?

Which game did people think was best out of Far Cry, Doom 3 and Medal of
Honor: Pacific Assault? It's mainly the single player games that I'm
interested in.

By most accounts, PA is the worst of the three. I wouldn't choose
between D3 and FC, as they are both very satisfying in complementary ways.
FC is certainly longer and has more freedom of movement, so that might be a
first choice, but don't deny yourself the D3 experience, just save it for
when you have time.

Don't play these on anything less than a 6800/X800 class videocard btw
(and a 3+ghz class machine), the day of the 9700pro/fx5800 is over as far as
I'm concerned.

Unreal 2 was so poor I couldn't believe it. You must joking when you
recommend that? I had to force myself to play it through.

Actually, I quite enjoyed it. It was lacking in various departments,
but the plot was very good, and involved me enough that the ending evoked an
emotional response. Unreal2 is not a throwaway or B-title.

After the first few minutes I hated it. Maybe I got too used to the fast pace of
UT.

Then after about 2 months I gave it another try and DAMN it's good!!! Nice
storyline and technology. I liked the electric fence and spider weapon to
mention a few. Since that day I played almost everyday until I finished it -
which took me about 2 weeks and a bit. Doom 3 took me 1 and a bit weeks.

Doom 3 is playable but most of the time it's just cheap scares. I don't like the
idea of making pickup sound alerts sound like a %&$¢Ging monster creeping behind
you. First few times I picked up the armour I panicked after hearing the hissing
sound :/

ditto. i played using a 9600 XT and a 2.8 prescott machine. no trouble at
all, used 1024x768 res i think. it seems so long ago already!

Load times are VERY, VERY, LONG...up to THREE MINUTES for some missions and
there is no such thing as QUICK LOAD.
