whats better for gaming. 100mb fast etherenet. or AC wifi?

i just got a nintendo switch. i happen to have a usb fast ethernet adapter. the switch is about 2 feet from the router. in this case, would ethernet still be better for latency. or would AC wifi be better since its so close?

Wired ethernet is always better than wireless.

thank you, just wanted to make sure. i wasnt sure since its only a 100mb ethernet adapter and not a gigabit

Do you have higher than a 100 megabit internet connection to begin with?

If not it doesn't matter if your wireless is 1billion gigs it won't get there any faster.
