What's better than HD 7990 in 2017?

My HD 7990 is about to die soon. My budget is $400. I am wondering if there is such card that can beat HD 7990 under $400 cards? I heard about GTX 1050 Ti. Is it good enough?

the 1050Ti isn't a worthwile upgrade from your current card
