Question What's causing the memory speed to reset

I have 2x16 gb of ram on the PC.

AMD Ryzen 7 3800X Processor

Corsair LPX 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz C16 DDR4 DRAM Memory Kit

ASRock MicroATX Motherboard (B450M PRO4)

I loaded XMP to run the memory @3200 and everything is fine. But ocassionally, it resets back to 2666. It had happened a couple of times.
Any reason? Suggestions?

The MBO is a year old. Can that happen?

What other symptoms could occur if the battery is the culprit? Got to be more than just not keeping the XMP profile, right?

The clock can lose the correct time.

Are you on the latest BIOS?
