what's difference between Giga Hertz on processors

Hey Every Body :
Kindly i want to know the difference between processors when they are the same no of cores but
changing in cash and GHZ , what is the importance of cash and giga hertz and which is more important when choosing a processor ?!

Comparing clock speed between different architectures is asbolutely meaningless. The only way to know how two processors perform relative to each other is to look up a benchmark.

Amount of cores/cache/speed can only really be compared between the same architectures i.e i3 vs i5 etc, not between intel and AMD.

Best way to compare is benchmarks, which will give you a real indication of performance.

When comparing processors in the same generation and lineup, you can directly compare clockspeed (i.e. 4670k @ 4.2GHz will be faster than 4670k @ 4GHz).
Besides that, you cannot compare clockspeed of different generations (i.e. 2500k vs 4670k) or different lineups (i.e. i3 vs i7).

Haswell performs about 6% better than Ivy Bridge
Ivy Bridge performs about 8-10% better than Sandy Bridge

Haswell performs about 10% better than Ivy Bridge. Make that 70% when it comes to AVX-enabled code.

Haswell performs about 6-7% better than IB, not 10%.
