Hi
My system:
i7-8700k desktop
Asus Z370-A motherboard.
Objective:
I want to replace 4TB hard drives with 8 TB hard drives, (using standard conventional hard drives (7200 RPM))/
Questions:
Q1: What's faster for conventional hard drives (7200 RPM)? USB 3.1 ports or internal SATA 3?
Q2: Is installing a PCIe SATA port card a good idea for conventional hard drives (7200 RPM)?
Q3: Does using a USB 3.1 hub on the USB 3.1 port, slow down data transfer?
Q4: Does anyone know if Asus Z370-A SATA ports support 8TB hard drives?
I have 4TB hard drives installed currently.
I have all 6 SATA ports occupied. 5 hard drives, 1 Optical drive.
I have an M.2 SSD in one of NVMV m.2 ports.
Thank You
