Whats going on here? This is not the speed I was hoping to get

I applied most of the things mentioned on this page hopping to improve the speed of my SSD
http://thessdreview.com/ssd-guides/optimization-guides/the-ssd-optimization-guide-2/2/

Before settings:
Sequential Read : 377.502 MB/s Sequential Write : 369.477 MB/s Random Read 512KB : 288.615 MB/s Random Write 512KB : 357.192 MB/s

After settings:
Sequential Read : 378.775 MB/s Sequential Write : 374.046 MB/s Random Read 512KB : 288.455 MB/s Random Write 512KB : 359.661 MB/s

Test : 1000 MB [C: 49.5% (118.2/238.5 GB)] (x5) Date : 2012/08/31 16:35:17 OS : Windows 7 Ultimate Edition SP1 [6.1 Build 7601] (x64)

What should I do? I was expecting 500+ Mb/sec on my Samsung 830 SSD

SATA 3Gb/s is incapable of breaking 300MB/s because of its 8/10b encoding. In fact, it is incapable of even hitting 300MB/s because it is not able to hit perfect efficiency even in that. 378MB/s is a SATA3 speed. Keep in mind that SSDs tend to not hit their maximum theoretical performance.

I'd expect higher sequential read speeds than you're getting, but what you get depends strongly on the exact workload. Try using a higher queue depth and/or larger files in those tests and you'll probably then get the read performance that you want.

I am using Asus Maximus V Formula EATX LGA1155.
Has 2 black SATA 3Gb/s ports and 6 red ..i don't know if all of the red's are SATA 6Gb/s, anyways I figured which one is the 6gb/s port by looking in the BIOS (saw the DVD plugged into it and followed the Cable) and plugged the SSD into it.

After a slow boot finality got into windows, and the drivers for SSD and Storage disk (Samsung F4 HDD) started to be downloaded automatically by Windows. Did a restart and this are the new numbers :

What's up with the error? :/ Looks like I'm stepping on thin ice. Cables or sata controller? Everything is brand new
