[SOLVED] What's going on with my CPU?

Hey, so, the other day I was messing around with my CPU to benchmark it and such ith prime95, cinebench, etc, and my computer froze up after running prime95 so I did what a person would think of doing, I shut off my pc. Next thing you know after I turn it back on, I check my CPU usage and it's at 100%, and I'm thinking, maybe it'll fix tomorrow.

Yeah, no, last time I checked, it's mainly at 100% with only 1 logical processor, core, and socket being used. Not sure how to add images when I can't just copy paste them, but either way this is where I'm at, and I'm not exactly sure how to fix this. I have an fx-4300 if that matters.

System Specs

CPU: Fx-4300
GPU: MSI R7 250 2GB
Motherboard: Older one, MSI 760GM-P34(FX)
RAM: 2x4GB, not sure of the brand
PSU: an old PSU from Apevia I think, a Turbolink ATX-TL500W-BK 12V
HDD: just a 1TB Toshiba

Planning on upgrading most of this to the new ryzen 3 3300x specs and the B550 motherboards when they're released, probably around september time

This can be put as solved, figured out that I had the number of processors box checked in msconfig, so I'm back up to 1 socket, 2 core, 4 logical processor
