Question What's minimal power supply needed for Radeon hd 5850 xfx

While searching for better graphics card on internet i stumble upon hd 5850 xfx now i have add it on my wish list if i have the money later but I'm started to think about the Power Supply needed for the card it self


Ps: my power supply have 750watt plus 80 bronze
And it have 2 12 v rail with an amp of 35
+12v1 +12v2

5850 uses about 150w peak and uses 2 6-pin connectors, as long as it's a name brand power supply you should be fine. You can probably find a 6850 or 7770 for the same $50 that uses less power and is faster though.

Actually I looked it up because I couldn't remember exactly because I went straight from a 4850 to a 6850 back in the day. 5850 is actually a tiny bit faster than the 6850, but uses about 25 watts more(150 for the 5850, 125 for the 6850). 60 amps on the 12Vs for 5850s in crossfire.

I'd not crossfire. The support for it, even in older games was pretty hit & miss miserable, so much so that a single card often got better fps than the same card in CF.

It's also not supported by Windows 10, which is mgpu based DX12, not sli/CF based DX11.
