What's that on my GF6800!

You mean the 512mb GDDR3?

NO, those Freakin' connectors on the LeadTek board. 2 Ethernet and a BNC? For 3D shutter glasses? IS that the Workstation card? I could understand a bunch of BNC connectors, but those look a little strange.

Anywhoo, some interesting pictures from Digit-Life.

The Asian mermaids look a little weird though, no offence to anyone, they jst look a little strange to me.

Thanks for the info, the prolink card looks pretty cool. But it's just a copy of Leadtek's heatsink for its 5900 series. Damn all the other manufactures, non of them is actually being creative this time. All using the refrence design. Guess it's time for modding.

Have you noticed that the Aopen and Leadtek cards only have 1 4pin molex power connector on the card?

Any news on how powerful your power supply needs to be? Someone was talking about 450watts? Thats Ok, I can't afford the 6800 anyway...

That Leadtek board is a Quadro, and what looks like ethernet jack's are actually plug's to connect multiple Quadro's together to do large render work(they'll act as one large card when linked) In office renderfarm anybody? cool stuff

I'm not impressed with the Gainward pic. Looks like the enthusiast company is choosing the cheaper heatsink and fan compared to the cheaper companies like Chaintech who are going with the better one.

It looks like Prolink is the only one who bothered not using stock. I'm also wandering how far are these companies planning to overclock the cards from Nvidia's refrence card's speed.

The Leadtek/Winfast A400 Ultra looks different as seen here.

Sweet! I wasn't sure that was possible, but I guess gigabit might make that something we never considered before.

I kinda thought it was a Quadro, looking at the BNC connect and the minijack does make me think of Shutters, but the RJ45 jacks screwed me up.

The Quadro version would explain the need for just one molex connector since it can draw a hell of alot more power through the AGPPRO slot (50/110W).

I'd like to see a review of them in use or at least the first plain review of them. I expect that in animation apps it's going to be one hell of a card, especially with the extension advantage already present.

Yeah, I would've expected more out of Gainward, they usually have some great designs and features. But it is kinda bland.

The ASUS is the best looking solution sofar, but as always while looking good is nice, I'm most interested in the best functioning solution.

Just another thought, I wonder if a Zalman will ever be good enough for these cards. They seemed to NEED a fan for the R9800XT, so either they will have to totally redesign the heatpipe or else they my just not be practical for this and future generations of cards. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

The only reason I knew what the ethernet plugs were was because The Baron was talking about it on another forum.

Ahah, long live Le Baron!

Thanx anyways! 😎

LOL! Yeah I have filters on all my intake fans.

Anywhoo, just on my way out to watch hockey, and though you all would get a kick out of more pics (more of the same and some new).

On the leadtek this time you can see the QUADRO a little clearer than the other photos. Notice the picture of the Leadtek box is not the box for the Quadros though. D'oh!

Still got those spooky looking Mermaids. Yeah they don't look happy, maybe they're Sirens not Mermaids! Siren song drawing you to the GF6800 and ruin!

I like filters too, but my f*cking room is so dirty, it requires me to clean it every month, or there's a significant temp increase!
