[SOLVED] What's the advantage of APFS?

I formatted my memory stick to APFS, saw it didn't work on Windows (I was just checking), went through some effort to get it back to exFAT and then formatted back into APFS again (I don't use memory sticks all that much, I mostly use cloud storage for files that need moving around)

It's Apple's new file system, so will only be accessible on Mac's
Has advantages for a system drive, such as backups, encryption and i think it's designed to be better on SSD's.
There's no reason or advantage to formatting a USB stick.

Use APFS if only using Mac with that USB stick.
Use exFAT if you use Mac and Windows.

It was a USB stick I stopped using a long time ago so I could sacrifice it
