What's the best 3000mhz memory kit?

Solution
2x8GB is less stress on the MC (memory controller) the best I've run have been the 3000/14 sets from GSkill, theri Trident Z and Ripjaws Z lines
Define "best"

A 4 stick kit will still operate in dual channel mode.
But, because it costs more to match 4 sticks vs. 2, a 4 stick kit will be more expensive.

Then, the matter of speed.
It turns out that faster ram is accompanied by higher latency, negating the benefit.
Here is a report on skylake ram scaling:

Fancy heat spreaders are marketing, simple low profile ram works equally well.

Lastly, from my overclocking experiments, I found that the added voltage to run ram faster than 2400@1.2v seemed to take away my overclocking headroom.

A 2 x 8gb kit of 2400 speed would be my vote.
Lower latency is better; look to Corsair lpx.
