Hello!

My first tough was an FX 8350 but.. (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2123201/78lmt-usb3-rev-amd-8350.html?_ga=1.61775980.1906407754.1481053191)

And then i remembered i had the same problem with a customer of mine.. so yhea, if you are planning on doing only gaming, no recording or streaming a six core AMD am3+ is fine 😀
AMD FX 6300

Greetings

If you can get an 8-core 125 watt cheap it would be nice, though you can't do much overclocking on this motherboard without running into problems due to the poor thermal design of the board. In any case, the next best thing to an 8-core is the 6-core FX 6300.

I own a AMD 6300, base clock atm. Had it overclocked to 4ghz. It pairs up with a AMD 390 and it works for most games, but even just 1080 and especially non-optimized games and non Dx12 games, you are going to hit a bottleneck with the 6300. You'll have to turn settings down if you want a solid 60 fps and some games, that is just unattainable.

If I were you, the best thing that you can do right now, is wait a few more months. You won't regret it. I still wish I would have waited and I got this processor over a year ago upgrading from a OG Phenom II.
