I have some things just need a little help. I'm also going to overclock the cpu and gpu
Cpu-Fx 8350(need)
Mobo-?
PSU-?
Storage-1tb
case-? (have a dell otiplex 745 trying to reuse for build if possible)
ram-4x1gb=4 (have) going to upgrade to 2x8=16gb
disk reader (have)
OS-?
Gpu- GTX 750
I would like to keep the budget within the $300-500 range US East-Coast

Solution
sorry but "budget build" and "hardcore gaming" do not go hand in hand.

for that kind of budget what i would go with is:

fx-6300
970 chipset matx mobo
2x4gb 1600+ ram
1tb hdd
500-550w psu
matx case
best gpu you can get with remaining cash.

of course that is assuming $550-600 spent on the actual computer itself including os. this does not include a monitor or peripherals..
Do you have any hardware you are reusing(power supply, ram, hard drive, optical drive, keyboard, mouse, lcd, an audio output device of some sort)? Will you be needing a new copy of windows(7/8/8.1)? That will eat into your budget close to 100 bucks.

When we know what you already have and what you still need, we can give you some specific suggestions for parts based on your budget. It would help to know your location so we can price parts where you are(or where you can get them). Also curious if you have have resolution, quality setting and frame rate targets in mind(though you did say hardcore so I would guess 1080p minimum with max settings at 60+fps in any game you want to play which may be beyond what you're willing and/or able to spend at the present time)

i have most what is need moniter, keybooard, mouse etc. Just need a mother board, gpu, cpu and os(might be able to get a disk free from a friend) wonder if the nivdia gtx 760 or 750 is a good gpu?

I live in the United States on the east coast. I would like to get med-high graphics with 30-60 FPS 1080p for games to at least be playable. Plz post two types of spec if you would plz include an estimated fps and settings quality and price.
