hi am after advice on what kind of graphic card my psu could/would run comfortable as i am in the process of thinking of upgrading my six year old computer and the psu is the only think i would be reusing as it is only 2 years old.........thanks for any replys i get

Hmmm, for long term use, considering capacitor aging, I might be convinced that a HD6870 would be safe, but off the top of my head, I probably wouldn't be comfortable with more than a HD6850.

X2 , especially since you're probably going to be using a quad core.

capacitor aging? its only a 2 yr old PSU, thats not very old, i ran my 6850 from a crappy thermaltake 470w that was 5 years old for a few months, i then came to my senses and didnt want to risk blowing up my rig and updated the PSU. But 2 yr old PSU is fine, you expect 5 years at least from a good quality psu.
