This is my first computer so im starting from scratch. my budget is 1000.

Would you guys recommend a better graphics card?

Thanks.

Solution
If i had to extend my budget to roughly $1200AUS to get a superior graphics card (Nvidia GeoForce RTX 2060 ) im happy doing so. Does this change any components of the quote?
Well, this is what happens when I prioritize the build around the graphics card:

Monitor resolution?
Cpu: Prefer AMD(best value) or Intel?
Gpu: Prefer AMD(best value) or Nvidia?
1000 what? USD, Pounds, Euro, NZD, etc?

This is what i had in mind:

Cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6 core
Gpu: Nvidia GeoForce RTX 2060
Moniter: :1920x1080@144Hz
Budget: $100AUS or $675US

Im not sure on the motherboard yet.
Also im not including the monitor in the $1000 budget.

Thank you very much for this, great info. i had a couple questions.

How does the " ASRock Radeon RX 580 8 GB Phantom Gaming D Video Card" compare to the "Nvidia GeoForce RTX 2060 " is there a major difference?
Also,
It is worth spending an extra 50 dollars and getting the "AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6 core 3.6Ghz"?

Pretty significant difference: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html
It's 2 tiers(every 10pts) above the RX 580, but is out of your budget, unless I overlooked something?

[It's about Ryzen 3600 vs 2700, but I thought it was still relevant.]

Differences:
-Build 2 has a slightly faster cpu
-Motherboards are mainly about features, and standard ATX simply offers more over Micro ATX. but if you're not bothered by the barebones configuration of small form factor mobos, then this isn't a big deal.
-Slightly faster memory kit on Build 2
-RTX 2060 in Build 1 is slightly faster
-Better quality power supply in Build 2

Thank you very much you have helped me out a lot! I think im leaning towards build 1 there are a lot of good reviews for the RTX 2060!
Just curious, if this was you what build would you choose?

The 2nd one, mainly because~...
To me, the 20-series graphics cards are far overpriced due to the ray tracing feature - that's utterly worthless, and not worth the Nvidia tax slapped on them, 'because they did it first'.
The performance hit from RTX On is too much - I could see myself trying it out once or twice, and never using it again for however long I would have the card.
A game running RTX On at 60fps, will not look better to me than if it were on high or ultra settings at 120fps.
I can afford a 2080Ti, but with the above points, plus I get 2080 Super level performance out of my overclocked 1080Ti(Nvidia straight-up made this card too stronk)... not going to be worth the investment.
