[SOLVED] whats the best CPU i should upgrade to?

hello, i am fairly new to PC gaming as a whole, so last year i accidentally bought a prebuilt without doing my research, and ended up getting a terrible build. my specs are as followed:
GTX 1660 super 6bg (model is ASUS Phoenix)
Intel Pentium g5400 dual core
8gb of 2600 mhz RAM
h310 chipset motherboard
so obviously, its an extreme bottleneck, and it is unbearble when trying to play certain games. so i was wondering what CPU i should upgrade to.
i was looking at the i5-9400f, but i am worried something wont be compatible, since im new to PCs. and if there is another cpu you recommend for under $200ish, please let me know.

What is the full name of the PC? Do you know what motherboard is in there? You can use any 8th and 9th gen Intel processors so 5e 9400f would be ok.
