Thanks in advance

So I bought Windows Server 2016 for like $4 on Ebay, I really am enjoying it.

Theres no bloatware, no Cortona, no app store, eveything that sucks about Windows 10 is taken out..

That being said it's more difficult to find programs that are compatable with it..

I'm looking for the best free solution for backing up this operating system.

I was using Macrium Reflect..
Not compatable..

Thank you for your advice..

You certainly don't have a legit license to use Win Server 2016 for $4.

Win Server 2016 has a built in backup capability to back itself up to an external drive. Mine does this several times a day.
if you have a copy of Acronis, you could make the boot CD on say, a laptop or workstation, and boot the server off it and still acronis backup it, verify it too when you make backup. Windows backup has proven unreliable for us.

Acronis for server is really expensive and prohibitive due to that.

Ok so I just boot for Acronis EFI & backup the Loose uncompiled OS files, or is there a way to actually just back up a system Image of the OS from the boot partition?

I really only care about the host OS & haven't set any Virtual Machine framework yet.
