Currently I have a gts 250 wich is obviously EXTREMELY old. I have about 300$ to spend right now, I was thinking of buying a completely new gaming pc when I saved enough, but I was wondering if I could just upgrade the pc that I have right now. And i'm worried about power supply stuff because I have no clue about that, I took a look at my current power supply, and I got the model, its a SL-500A with the capacity of 500W.

There's a lot to think about here. If you will be building a new computer soon, or relatively soon, then you'll want to buy a card now that you can bring to the new computer.

You don't mention the games you play. Depending on how old and undemanding they are, you might be able to play them with a used card like an HD 7750 or 7770. You might not need something as powerful and costly as a 1050 Ti.

If your GTS 250 is standard spec then it uses a 6 pin pci-ex connector. This means you can pick from cards that use 6 pin connectors, which is great because lots of used gaming cards fall in that category, like a GTX 650 Ti.
