I'd like to know whats the best graphics card which would work safely on a 300 watt psu.
My psu has 19 amps on the 12v rail.
Some specs;
Amd athlon x3 3ghz
3gb ram ddr3
500gb hd

Do you know exactly which power supply you have?

Generally speaking, the Radeon HD 6670 should work without any issues since it doesn't use much power and your CPU does either. nVidia doesn't really have anything in either the GTX 4xx or 5xx series to compete against the Radeon HD 6670.

The GTX 440 is slower than the Radeon HD 6670 in many games so it doesn't even qualify as a near equal. The GTX 450 is faster than the Radeon HD 6670. Both cards consume more power than the Radeon HD 6670.

^+1. As long as the PSU isn't junk (i.e. really only a 200W unit), you should be fine with a HD6670. If it is a Dell, Compaq, or HP, you're probably good; if eMachines, likely not (especially if the PSU is by Bestec). Can you tell from the label who made the PSU?

I have a HP computer and on the psu it says delta electronics. So would a 6670 be ok then?
