As per the questionnaire:
1. Budget tops out around $375
2. Any 'size'.
3. Want 15.6" or 16" screen
4. Will be a desktop replace for mum but maybe some use as a portable within 2 years.
5. Battery life is not important.
6. Specifically looking for good integrated graphics, ex. i5 1135G7, for games up to dunno, 2015? 2020? Medium settings would be nice.
7. Don't need ability to photo/video edit
8. 512GB storage is fine
9. Buying from Bestbuy, lenovo on sale, amazon, newegg, possibly B&H
10. Keep probably 5+ years.
11. Don't need optical drive
12. brands: HP, Lenovo, Asus. I won't buy Dell, and Acer seems sketchy.
13. I'm in USA
14. Prefer to buy new, older cpu. I appreciate good ports but I'm trying to skimp here. Integrated graphics will do. Want 16GB ram & researching all the gimped soldered/'onboard' crapola is tiring. Be nice to have a decent screen.
I've found a few models with the above i5 but only from 3rd party sellers. Also considering the Ryzen 3 7320U chip but apparently that i5 does much better for gaming. Better to ask here what I should be looking for.
Thanks for any feedback,
Mac
