I'm looking into buying the eVGA 680i and I read that it's picky about memory. I know I want 2GB of DDR2 800 memory, so I went to their website and I found this list for supported memory:

Here is a list of memory that is reported to be compatible with the EVGA 680i SLI motherboard, this list will be updated frequently. Please email eparra@evga.com with other memory models so I can add them to this list. Thanks.

I was looking at the Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4, it seems pretty good and not that bad of a price. What do you guys think is the best memory for me to get with the eVGA 680i. Please keep in mind that I'm willing to spend no more the $280 on memory and please explain your answer, just don't say this brand is better, please say why. Thanks for the advice ahead of time.

Um, i dunno if the memory you suggested is the so-called SLI ready memory, but i brought that mobo and some cosair something-or-other twinX memory and tried to run it in SLI mode, and the computer refused.

Sorry i cant be more specific, its my work comp and im at home at the moment.

Just thought id let you know on my experiances

I have the patriot Extreme Performance DDR2-800 memory that was reviewed earlier last week. It works great, and I am getting another stick later on this week to run in dual channel mode. I love the memory, I absolutely recommend it!
