Also don't expect miracles from your new mouse, I have owned mice that cost from £25-100 and spending more definitely didn't improve my skills to any great degree in CS from 1.0 to GO. The only mouse change I ever made that did make a large difference was when I replaced the one that got so clogged (the good old days of ball mice) it stopped moving in one direction!

If you have a semi decent mouse with enough buttons that feels nice in your hand I personally would just ride that thing till it falls apart before considering changing it. If you're using the free mouse that came with your PC then personally I like SteelSeries mice over Logitech, the ones I have had feel nice in the hand and they haven't been ridiculously heavy. I have...
Mickey. Minnie is a dirty, dirty ho.

The Logitech listed would be my top choice.

The Corsair M65 appears to be good for shooters, but I have not tried it.

"Hardcore FPS fans don't need many buttons to succeed, but they do need comfort and precision. The Corsair Vengeance M65 delivers on both counts. Corsair designed this large mouse specifically with FPS players in mind. The device sports eight programmable buttons, including one that enters a "sniper mode" to slow down the DPI and let players aim more accurately. Players who want to fine-tune the feel of the mouse can also tinker with three adjustable weights and switch among three DPI settings on the fly. With deeply customizable profile software, the Vengeance M65 also functions as a good generalist mouse."

Also, some mice are "clutch" and some are "claw". I forget which is which, but I need the ability to lift. I tried a mouse that you couldn't lift and even though I didn't think it would matter I simply could not get to where I need to go very quickly.

If possible, go to the store and try them. There is a HUGE difference in mice. Some that I told where great sucked, but I also have medium/small hands which may factor in.

I have never used a Razer mouse but I do use one of their keyboards which I like a lot, it feels like a quality product with nice build quality.

I don't think there is a correct 'answer' as photonboy said a mouse is a very personal thing, what is great for one person is terrible for another. If you can try one before you buy that is great but for me it can take a few weeks before I fully decide if I like a mouse or not.

First, you have to share with us your grip! There are 3 grip styles: palm, fingertip and claw. Google for it and tell us what is yours.
I myself am a fingertip grip user and i have g502 proteus core which is similar to spectrum but not RBG , and iam very happy with it it has a very fine grip and it moves smoothly.

i have a Rival 300 and I don't recommend it. i have had nothing but problems with it. I cant Update the Firmware on it to start with -_- and sometimes (more times than i want) ill be moving around and BAMMM!!!!! my screen will Jerk to the left or right.

But i think its just a bad mouse, other than that tthe mouse feels geat in my hand (i have smaller hands) and the mouse wheel is fantastic. The left and right click are perfect for me. The RGB lighting is cool i guess if you like it.

SO when i do, Which makes me like this mouse, I set different DPI, what the buttons do, and RGB lighting to different games and applications. Ill have one set for CSGO then other set for my video editor to chrome, and it changes automatically for whatever window i am in. It is nice

SteelSeries is nice but i would have to recommend Logitech. Logitech and SteelSeries make a very nice Sensor for FPS. Before i had a rival 300, I used a Logitech G5 for 9 years. Its hard to find stuff that last that long. Only reason i got a new mouse is because the cord broke -_-

But I will have to recommend:
1. Razer DeathAdder Chroma
2. Logitech 502
3. Zowie Gear Ergonomic Optical Gaming Mouse
4. Corsair Vengeance M95
5. Rival 300
6. Roccat Kone Pure Optical

Those are the 6 I would get. I put DeathAdder Chroma as one because i havn't tried it yet but everyone swears its the best FPS mouse out there.

I hope my Random crap helps. Rival 300 is great but Razer DeathAdder Chroma and 502 are better 😛 get one of those.

Not a Problem my friend. Even though My rival is a faulty one, I still love it and i refused too send it back because i dont want to be away from it.

EDIT: IDK about how durable the deathadder is but i know the old Logitech took a beating and my Rival 300, i use low sens and low dpi for csgo and i surf a lot and i bang the shit out of it turning.
