My friend recently gave me his old PC after getting a completely new one. I recently discovered it had no SSD and I wanted to get one. But the motherboard is a Moria 2 and it looks incredibly small. I'm looking for the best SSD I can put on it at an affordable price. I'd say like 170$ and below. What are some good options

Would a 970 Evo work?

OK, that is an HP motherboard -- https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06431353
Since it is a B450 motherboard, you can use any M.2 NVMe. A Samsung, or Intel would be a good choice. $170 will get you a 1TB drive.
