Whats the best test on Prime95 for CPU temperatures

Solution
You are good.
If I am not mistaken, 85c. is about the throttle point for ryzen.
At that point, the processor will slow down or turn off to protect itself.

Small FFTs. I would use an older version of prime95, 26.6. The newer versions of Prime95 use AVX instructions, which is not a realistic test for say a gaming PC. An overclock is harder to get stable using AVX than without, if all you do is game your cpu does not need to be stable in an AVX workload.

What is your objective?

If you are trying to test your cooling system, look for a test that creates heat explicitly. Intel burn test does this, but I do not know if or how it would apply to ryzen.

If you are testing for stable operation of an overclock, that is a different thing.
A very simple test would the cpu-Z stress test.

Okay I downloaded prime95 26.6 which i guess helped since it is a gaming PC and ran the small FFts test for 30 minutes and the highest it reached was 70 degrees Celsius when it suddenly jumped there for a second. Other than that the highest was 63 degrees where it stayed for the majority of the time.

Is that an acceptable temperature?
