RAM - 12GB DDR3 1600MHz (Slots used 2/2)

More information would be helpful, such as:
  • What do you use your computer for?
  • What would you like to use your computer for?
  • How much money are you willing to spend?
  • What general area in the world are you from (so we know what parts are available)?
But going off nothing else, maybe a CPU and video card upgrade, but the system's too old that I don't think it's worth directly upgrading from this.

Let us know what your PC is used for and define "for cheap."

50-150 NZD, and I use it for Gaming (Mainly Minecraft and Terraria), recording, and editing.

Nothing then. At that budget, the only thing that would have likely been a meaningful upgrade would have been to an SSD, but you say you don't need storage. A meaningful upgrade would require a new CPU, motherboard, RAM and that's not a budget that will get that. Same with a GPU upgrade; even if you found a meaningful upgrade on a 1050 at that price, that would also require an upgrade from your currently PSU, which is a old, cheaply made, and group-regulated.

RAM might have been a possibility since you have a FrankenRAM situation, but getting a 2x8 GB set of DDR3 doesn't make a whole lot of sense in 2023 since it just makes you far away from an upgrade that would matter. At this budget, you could also perhaps make a quality-of-life upgrade such as a nicer mouse or keyboard, but I don't know what your status is there.
