My cable which connects my PSU to my mains has broken and wonder what it's actually called so I can find a replacement
P.s. my PSU is the corsair 760W

I think OP means from the wall outlet/UPS (mains) to the exterior socket of the PSU.

stickman274: Search "PSU Power Cord". You want one with 16 or 14 AWG wire size. The smaller the number, the larger the wire and the more power it can carry. 14 AWG is better but 16 AWG will work. Look on both plugs on the cord you have and see if there is an ## AWG molded into one of the plugs and, if so, get the same size. Or contact Corsair to be certain.

You might have a problem if you took the power cord from a cheap 250W PSU and are trying to use it with a 760W PSU. That's why I noted the wire gauges in the previous post.

With your machine running at full load, feel the cord. If it feels warm at all the wire inside the cord is smaller than what you need for your 760W PSU.

I took it from an old 500W psu and thanks for this note, ill keep feeling it every hour or so just to make sure
thanks again
