In computer terms the Chassis usually refers to the computer case that holds the major components. (power supply, motherboard, chip, ram, drives) The Monitor is the screen you look at or "monitor" see the output of the computer.
In physical terms a Chassis can refer to any mechanical apparatus that holds or contains lesser components of a whole and is central to the design.
Monitors can have chassis as well, they hold the LCD screen, power supply (or power input), buttons, and I/O connections. Basically the metal or plastic frame that holds the parts together into a complete object.
