Question: While deciding to buy a Graphics card I can't make sense of the difference between various brand/models of the same GPU

E.g. On MSY the 4G RX 470 brands and models below range from $289 to $329 (Australian dollars)

* Sapphire NT OC Gigabyte G1 GAMING
* ASUS STRIX
* Sapphire
* MSI X

Since there's a $40 difference between them (including 2 separate models for Sapphire) there must be a difference between them instead of just the brand. Is there an easy way to identify the difference?

I'm not entirely set on the RX 470 either, but I'd rather understand what's the difference between these before trying to decide on the GPU

Solution
it must be the cooling , gigabyte has the windforce trademark , asus has the strix , other than that it shouldn't be the OC cause you see most users tune their gpu's with msi's afterburner at least those in america do . the only drawback the foundation revision of the card seems to have is cooling , so yeah they're making tons of money with a couple of fans , led's and plastic covers ...
