When I first started searching for a new Graphics Card, I thought there was only one MSI GTX 970 - the generic Red and Black one. However, on Newegg I found some other cards. Here are the links:
'Normal': http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127832&cm_re=gtx970-_-14-127-832-_-Product

Green and Black: http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127850&cm_re=gtx970-_-14-127-850-_-Product

White and Black: http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127833&cm_re=gtx970-_-14-127-833-_-Product

Could someone explain to me the differences between these cards, other than the colour scheme.. Is there actually any difference in performance between these cards? Which would you recommend?
Additionally, which GTX 970 would you recommend (from all brands)?

Thank you for your time.

Between all the cards that have the same chip (in your case 970) they have a very small difference in Performance You should not buy the one which has the higher clocks cause it might example have worse cooling that another that has lower clocks which you can increase manually. I would go with the one with the most fans and cheapest

black green one is same as red black - only different color scheme, white one has a slightly lower factory oc. you couldn't tell them apart anyway while playing and since you can oc either one anyway won't matter much.

the one with the afterburner sticker is the reference design.
