What's The Difference Between These Motherboards?

Hello Everyone! The question is simple. What is the difference between the GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P and the GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P? Notice there is no U in the second one. Please help. I want to order the part soon. Thanks in advance!

One has a UEFI bios for windows 8

From what I can see, Newegg has discontinued both of them for newer ones. For the most part, they look identical other than the ending model number. Here they both are:

The UD3P has UEFI... the U stands for UEFI

THE D3P does not (probably does with a bios update?)

From the description on the Newegg links, it looks as though they both have UEFI.

I think both of them are the same. I think one is just a Revision of the other.

Nope. The UD3P has an 8+2 phase VRM the D3P has a 4+1 phase. The UD3P is a much better board.

As above, the UD3P has better power phasing and is more of an overclocker's board. Go with it even if you're not overclocking (if it's still available, mind you).
