The Matrox G400 video card (AGP) in my Optiplex GX400 died. I tried
replacing it with an ATI Rage Pro card, also an AGP card, salvaged from an
older Optiplex GX110.
Problem is, the ATI Rage Pro card has the 'keying' slot about 20 pins in
from the 'rear' of the card, whilst the AGP slot in the Dell Optiplex GX400
is more towards the 'front' of the AGP connector. (The Matrox card has slots
cut in both positions, the ATI card only has a slot in the rear position and
thus won't fit into the GX400)
What's the deal ? What do I need to look for in finding a replacement AGP
graphics for the GX400 ?
TIA
