What's the difference on an ati 9550/se/xl?

I thought I had an ati 9550. I found I have an ati 9550xl 256MB AGP 8x, and I can't find any specs on it. I can find results for the 9550SE, and the regular card, but not the XL version.

Is it slower than the normal card, faster, is it a budget version of the model, a rebrand as that model?

I put a 9550xl 256mb AGP into a friends computer recently, and strangely enough, it is recognized by the computer as an x1050. It runs fine, but the card is branded as a 9550xl on the card, but the computer refuses to recognize it as anything but an x1050.

Still I'm curious what's different about it. Mainly since ati doesn't officially mention anything about the xl version.
