What's the easiest way to "cut" the bridges?

I heard in another post that someone used 2 9 volts batteries and needles to burn out the bridges like a fuse. I tried to ask him more information but he never answered again. Have you heard of this? It seems a lot easier then trying to scratch them out.

I wonder if one could still use a pencil to reconnect the bridge after it had been blown, do you think there would be enough left to make contact?

Any other ideas are welcomed.

I wouldn't try it. You're equally likely to burn out something inside the CPU.

From what I hear it won't work. The new resin packaging will absorbe the charge before it can cross the graphite bridge. The old Athlons used ceramic packaging instead of an organic resin, which is why it worked on them.

I'd say use a scalpel to cut them, light pressure over and over will cut it in no time.
