As the title says, I'm looking to switch the boot drive from an HDD to a new NVMe m.2, which I know the motherboard supports, but it seems a bit of a minefield.

I can't figure out what generation I should get and the speed. Any tips?

Cheers!

That's the one, thank you! Have ordered. Much cheaper than I thought it would be, too.

Regarding the caveats, where would I find them? Should it come in the manual for the board or drive?
In the above spec link:

  1. PCI_E2, PCI_E3, PCI_E4 and PCI_E5 slots will be unavailable when installing M.2 PCIe SSD in M2_2 slot.
  2. SATA5 and SATA6 ports will be unavailable when installing a M.2 device in M2_1 slot.
#2 is applicable to this situation, with the M.2_2 port.
