Whats the highest resolution you can play games at?

Since 8k monitors arent purchasable yet, whats the maximum resolution devolpers set to their games? I they even set a maximum resolution. Like can games go up to 100k or whatever?

Theoretically there would be no maximum. Games can be forced to run at just about any resolution even if the developers didn't account for it, including ultrawide or non-native aspect ratios.

That said i don't believe there are any games out there that have ever been made with beyond 4k in mind.

For now u can play only on 4k, because 8k monitors arent pushasable yet. But there will not be limit in resolution as long as u have good build to play it

Theoretically, there is no maximum provided pixels can get infinitely smaller or a screen can get infinitely larger.

Practically, there is a limit to how small a pixel can go, so a 32 inch screen for instance would have a maximum pixel density of let's say 50k (not accurate at all). You can make the screen larger to fit more pixels in, but would 1) reach a maximum realistic size limit for a screen or 2) reach the point where a screen no longer fits within your line of sight.

Simply not true. You can use Surround or Eyefinity on multiple 4k displays, today, right now.

There is no hard maximum.
