What's the longest you can run a DisplayPort cable?

I'm trying to run a monitor that's about 150ft away from the computer and all my other stuff is hooked up with DP so I would like to keep it consistent in case I have to swap monitors or computers around. I don't really care much about resolution, most of my monitors are running at 1280x720.

I've looked at DP to HDMI over CAT and VGA over CAT. Does anyone know of a DP cable 150ft+ long? Can I connect two long cables with a female-female adapter? Would it need any type of signal boost to just get the signal there?

At that distance, there is nothing cheap. $700 for cat6 -- $900 for fiber optics...

Using couplers to join two certified DisplayPort cables together for a run longer than 5 metres will result in loss of signal. There is currently no workaround for this length limit.
