i've got the following hp model (2xz40ea) what's the maximum memory size and what cpu i can upgrade to? current i3-6006U

Can someone explain that? As i can't understand what they mean by 8192-MB total system memory (8192×1) or (4096×2) but on top it says that it supports up to 16gb Screenshot
I think that is a misprint on their part. You have an HP 250 G6 correct? If so I found this information:
MEMORYStandardDDR4 (Intel® Core™ i7-7500U, i5-7200U, i3-6006U processors only)DDR4-2133 (Transfer rates up to 2133 MT/s) (DDR4-2400 bridge to DDR4-2133)Dual channel supportNo customer accessible / upgradeableConfigurations 4096 MB Total System Memory (4096 MB x 1) 6144 MB Total System Memory (2048 MB x 1 + 4096 MB x 1) 8192 MB Total System Memory (4096 MB x 2) 8192 MB Total System Memory (8192 MB x 1) Maximum Up to 8 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM

In this case 2x4GB will give you the best performance. You can attempt to have 2x8GB and return the RAM if it doesn't work.
