What's the max RAM that the ASUS ROG GL702vm can support.

I for some reason got 8 GB of ram instead of 16 GB that you are supposed to, thats why i've been searching for an upgrade.
Asus's official site says 2x16 @2133 MHz
And it seems true since for most people that did a ram upgrade it was the only option.
And I wouldn't even question it if it wasn't for multiple sites that show 2400 MHz even 2666 MHz.


I'm not the brightest guy in this scene by far.
So any suggestions what ram would be better and/or cheaper?
Maybe find the OEM ram so i can have 16 gb without buying 2 sticks?

Either take out the one you have now and check make and model, and then buy the exact one online, or buy two stick kit where the two sticks have been tested to work together.

Not sure if the memory speed will make any difference since the system could cap it at 2133.

So we know 100% that the system is capped at 2133 either way right?

I'll try to see what I can find by pulling it out.
