Question What's the maximum gear 1 speed for ddr4 and ddr5 memory on Intel 13th gen

So why not use DDR5 6000?

What are the requirements that would "prevent" using DDR5 6000?

Or otherwise dictate another choice? What is the end objective?

A system will perform at the speed of the slowest component. At some point faster memory becomes moot.

More information needed.

I'm trying to put together two systems for a friend
1 AMD
1 Intel

I was going through put together the pros and cons of each and let them decide based on their needs.

The last Intel I built was haswell. I know the base clock memory speed of Intel. But I also know there are gear 1 and gear 2 modes for memory. I can't remember what the limit is on gear 1. Gear 2 has performance penalties (like AMD when you go faster than 3800 ddr4). I have built 8 AMD systems since that haswell. So AMD is more my wheelhouse.
