Question What's the meaning of the GPU wattage reported by AMD Radeon Software?

Hello. Let's suppose that for a video card, AMD Radeon Software reports a GPU power of 120 W. Is this the total power consumption -- including the power consumed by the fans on the card, etc. -- or only the power consumed by the core? If it's not the total power, how much do they usually differ? Thanks.

Only the GPU's chip. The card will draw some more juice before it's ironed out by the VRM's and capacitors and fed to the GPU chip. The overall power draw will depend on what it's being tasked with. Instead of hypothesizing, best state the make and model of your AMD GPU and the specs to your build. Overclocking the GPU will make it draw more power.

If possible, I'd like to power an RX 570 and its riser by splitting a PCIe 8-pin connector. So I need to know if the total power is below 150 W or not. The GPU core is undervolted significantly but VRAM is overclocked. Softwares report a wattage of ~100 W.
