HI,
Silly question, but I want serious answers. Okay, as the title reads, I want to know what does Ti actually stand for in the GPU nomenclature ? We have seen many Ti variants in the past, as well as present, and NVIDIA keeps on releasing a Ti variant SKU.
So my question is, what's this Ti suffix ? Are these Ti variants better binned chips from their counterparts. And why does Nvidia release a Ti variant each year ? I know the Ti GPUs are having slightly better specs, and are faster as well, but I don't get the point in releasing a Ti variant GPU.
But anyways, does Ti stand for TITAN, or some other thing ? Why not use any other suffix ? Why only Ti ? Some examples:
GTX 650 Ti
GTX 560 Ti.
GTX 780 Ti.
GTX 980 Ti.
GTX 2080 TI.
GTX 1080 Ti......and so on.... I did not get any clear answers while scouring the internet.
