Hey All,

I'm looking to buy a new hard drive (well 2, one for me and one for my brother's computer), and I wanted to ask here for recommendations.
I'm thinking 500GB since they seem to be the most in my price range.
In order of importance:
1) Reliability
2) Performance

I have a WD Black 640, and it seems to work great, but I've been looking at Newegg reviews, and the 500GB WD black seems to have a fairly higher failure rate than does the Samsung Spinpoint F3. I've heard the spinpoint recommended, but I'm unsure about the reliability of this drive.
So what do you think?
